We’re Taking Part in the Glasgow Kiltwalk 2026 – Join Us!
Posted 25th February 2026
We’re excited to announce that we’ll be participating in the Glasgow Kiltwalk 2026 on Sunday, 26th April! This is one of Scotland’s most popular charity walking events, and it’s open to everyone, whether you want to take part in the walk or simply support our fundraising efforts.
The Kiltwalk offers three distances to suit all levels:
- Mighty Stride – 23 miles (~8 hours)
- Big Stroll – 14.5 miles (~5 hours)
- Wee Wander – 3 miles (~1.5 hours)

All walks finish at the beautiful Loch Lomond, where participants gather to celebrate their achievement.
We’re inviting our staff, young people, and supporters to walk together as a team, have fun, and raise funds to support vital community initiatives, including fuel vouchers, household essentials, and local events. There’s no expectation for young people to fundraise unless they want to – this is about taking part, working together, and enjoying the experience.
Participants will receive:
- A branded vest or t-shirt
- Water and snacks along the route
- A finisher’s medal
- An end-of-walk meal
- Entertainment at the Kiltwalk Village
- Photos and videos of the event
Whether you walk, cheer from the sidelines, or donate to our fundraising efforts, your support will make a real difference in the lives of the young people we work with.
For more information on how to get involved or donate, check out our NHP Kiltwalk Glasgow 2026 - JustGiving page.
We can’t wait to see you there and step up together for care leavers!

Aspirational Awards Update
In May, the Aspirational Awards panel awarded just over £15,000 to 19 young people across our LHPs. It was inspiring to see such a wide range of ideas, goals and determination reflected in the applications, and a privilege to support more young people as they take their next steps forward. Funding in Round 9 supported training + graduate employment scheme, equipment for a baking business and support for other businesses, sports sessions, music lessons, lifeguard course, and day trips. We have also recently completed a 3 year review of our Aspirational Awards and the impact they’ve had. Over the past 3 years, we’ve awarded over £147,000 to 138 young people (not including figures from our most recent round in May). If you would like to find out more about how to support the Aspirational Awards please get in touch.
