Pillars & Foundations: Next practice in children’s services makes reference to the House Project

The House Project is a pioneering new housing cooperative, led by young care leavers using homes owned by Stoke Council. The project provides young people with their own home while also providing comprehensive and co-ordinated support to enable them to be safe and successful as co-owners and managers of their own housing.

Last Thursday, we had a great day volunteering our time to help the Green Back Yard harvest some potatoes. This a community garden that relies on volunteers, so it was brilliant for our young people to give up their time to help. It also means that the young people involved have completed their Community AQA qualification. Well done!
